Description:

CircMAP2K2 is upregulated in gastric cancer tissues and cell lines and high expression is associated with poorer patient survival. Functionally, circMAP2K2 promotes GC cell viability, proliferation, migration, and invasion. Mechanistically, it functions as a cytoplasmic ceRNA that sponges miR-556-5p to increase CREB5 expression, forming an oncogenic circMAP2K2/miR-556-5p/CREB5 axis.
