Description:

circ‐E‐Cad is up-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and cell lines and is mainly localized in the cytoplasm. Functional assays using circ‐E‐Cad knockdown/overexpression indicate it promotes malignant phenotypes, with effects mediated by its encoded protein C‐E‐Cad that activates PI3K/AKT and is induced by TGF‐beta/Smad signaling.
