circZEB1 (hsa_circ_0000228), derived from ZEB1, is up-regulated in breast cancer/TNBC and mainly localized in the cytoplasm. It promotes proliferation, migration/invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis by sponging miR-337-3p to upregulate OGT, enhancing O-GlcNAcylation and stabilizing YBX1, which then activates transcription of oncogenic targets such as FZD1, FGF10, NRP1 and HES5.
