It localizes mainly in the cytoplasm and suppresses CRC proliferation, migration/invasion, metastasis and rapamycin resistance by sponging miR-1203 to sustain PPP1R3C expression, thereby inhibiting mTOR signaling and Myc phosphorylation. Higher circ_0001766 expression is associated with better OS/PFS.
