circPRKCI is down-regulated in sepsis patient serum and LPS-treated HK-2 cells. Its overexpression alleviates LPS-induced HK-2 cell apoptosis, inflammation and oxidative stress by sponging miR-106b-5p and increasing GAB1 expression, suggesting potential biomarker or therapeutic relevance in sepsis-induced AKI.
