circPIAS1 is up-regulated in HCC and promotes proliferation, migration and in vivo tumor progression. It suppresses ferroptosis via a ceRNA mechanism by sponging miR-455-3p to upregulate NUPR1, which transcriptionally activates FTH1, increasing iron storage and ferroptosis resistance. High circPIAS1 expression is associated with worse overall survival and may contribute to lenvatinib resistance. |
