Description:

hsa_circ_0001821 (host gene PVT1) is significantly down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and in patients’ whole blood, and shows cytoplasmic enrichment, suggesting a post-transcriptional regulatory role. It has diagnostic potential for GC (ROC AUC up to 0.872 in blood; improved to 0.933 when combined with CEA/CA199/CA125) and is associated with tumor depth and lymph node metastasis. A circRNA-miRNA-mRNA network involving seven predicted miRNAs was proposed but not experimentally validated.
