SCP2, DRP1, MFN1, AGO2, AKT, NF-kappaB p65 |
| Associated microRNA: |
miR-192-3p |
| Biological function: |
Inhibits inflammation and adhesion; inhibits apoptosis; inhibits mitochondrial fission; attenuates intimal hyperplasia and promotes endothelial repair in vivo. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
Acts as a miRNA sponge (ceRNA) for miR-192-3p to enhance SCP2 expression; modulates mitochondrial fission (DRP1) and NF-kappaB signaling under LPS stimulation. |

| Clinical significance: |
Downregulated in ISR patients and inversely correlates with ISR severity; proposed as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. |
| Description: |
CircTMEM165 is down-regulated in ISR patient serum and vascular tissues and is decreased after carotid balloon injury. It protects endothelial cells by inhibiting LPS-induced inflammation/adhesion and reducing apoptosis and mitochondrial fission, acting mainly through a ceRNA mechanism by sponging miR-192-3p to increase SCP2 and suppress NF-kappaB signaling and DRP1-associated fission. |
