Promotes NSCLC cell migration, invasion, EMT progression and metastasis; does not alter cell viability/proliferation in A549 and SK-MES-1 cells. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circ_0109320 promotes NSCLC metastatic phenotypes by enhancing migration, invasion and EMT marker changes; the specific miRNAs sponged by circ_0109320 were not identified in this study. |

| Clinical significance: |
circ_0109320 may serve as a promising NSCLC/lung cancer biomarker, with ROC AUC values of 0.688 for discriminating tumors from normal specimens and 0.711 for discriminating metastatic lymph nodes from tumors; high levels are associated with lymph node metastasis. |
| Description: |
This study found that circ_0109320 is up-regulated in NSCLC/lung cancer tissues, metastatic lymph nodes, and NSCLC cell lines. Functionally, circ_0109320 promotes migration, invasion and EMT progression but did not affect proliferation in A549 and SK-MES-1 cells. Clinically, circ_0109320 showed biomarker potential for distinguishing tumor and metastatic lymph node samples and was associated with lymph node metastasis. |
