In HCV-related HCC, NS3 upregulates circ_0001175 (circYTHDF1), which mainly localizes to the cytoplasm and sponges miR-130a-5p. This relieves miR-130a-5p-mediated suppression of MDM4, inhibits P53/p21 signaling, and promotes proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT, tumor growth and metastasis.
