Description:

circCEP70 is up-regulated in cirrhotic-background HCC and is associated with better patient survival. It suppresses HCC proliferation and metastasis mainly by encoding the protein CEP70-160aa, which binds PKM2, blocks PKM2 nuclear translocation, and reduces nuclear STAT3 phosphorylation within the JAK/STAT pathway context; U2AF2 negatively regulates circCEP70 biogenesis via binding flanking introns.
