circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: -
Associated microRNA: miR•217
Biological function: circABCB10 promotes colorectal cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft growth, inhibits apoptosis, and decreases radiosensitivity; silencing circABCB10 has the opposite effects.
Molecular mechanism: circABCB10 targets and negatively regulates miR-217; silencing circABCB10 up-regulates miR-217, thereby inhibiting malignant phenotypes and increasing radiosensitivity.
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); radioresistance (promotes); ceRNA regulation (other)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; Clinical Sample Validation; Transfection; MTT; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Transwell Assay; Colony Formation Assay; Luciferase Reporter Assay; In Vivo Animal Model; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

circABCB10 may be a potential target for diagnosis, treatment and radiosensitization in colorectal cancer.

Description:

In this study, circABCB10 was up-regulated in colorectal cancer tissues and cell lines. Silencing circABCB10 inhibited SW480 cell proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft growth, promoted apoptosis, and increased radiosensitivity. Mechanistically, circABCB10 acted through miR-217 regulation, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic and radiosensitizing target in colorectal cancer.

Confidence score:
