Mechanistically, it interacts with the RNA-binding protein EIF4A3, and EIF4A3 knockdown reduces hsa_circ_0005397 levels and reverses its pro-tumor phenotypes. It shows potential diagnostic value (ROC AUC ~0.88) and correlates with tumor size and TNM stage.
