Functionally, it promotes HCC proliferation, migration, invasion, tumor growth and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts as a ceRNA for miR-218-5p, thereby relieving miR-218-5p-mediated repression of TXNDC5.
