In BRCA-mutant breast cancer, circHIPK3 (hsa_circ_0021603; host gene HIPK3) is up-regulated in breast cancer cells and promotes cell viability, migration, and invasion. The study also constructed a circHIPK3-centered circRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA network computationally, but did not experimentally validate specific miRNA/mRNA targets for circHIPK3.
