| Clinical significance: |
High circLARP1B levels are associated with metastatic specimens, advanced TNM stage (III-IV), and lower five-year OS/DFS. |
| Description: |
circLARP1B is up-regulated in metastatic HCC and promotes invasion/metastasis and lipid accumulation. Mechanistically, it binds cytoplasmic HNRNPD, reduces HNRNPD binding to LKB1 mRNA 3′ UTR, destabilizes LKB1 mRNA and lowers LKB1 protein, thereby suppressing AMPK activation and enhancing fatty acid synthesis. |
