Description:

circBPTF is upregulated in ischemic heart failure LV tissue and induced by hypoxia in endothelial cells. It functions as a ceRNA hub binding multiple miRNAs (notably miR-196b-5p) to modulate target mRNAs such as HDAC9 and LRRC17. circBPTF inhibition suppresses endothelial proliferation and causes cell-cycle arrest with increased cell death.
