circPETH (hsa_circ_0049398) is an EV-packaged circRNA mainly produced by TAMs and transferred to HCC cells, where it promotes glycolysis and metastatic phenotypes. It is overexpressed in HCC tissues and high expression correlates with worse clinicopathologic features and poor OS/RFS, serving as an independent prognostic indicator. circPETH also functions as the RNA template that can be m6A-dependently translated into circPETH-147aa in HCC cells. |
