| Clinical significance: |
high circMET correlates with higher tumor stage; link with prognosis not firmly established due to small sample size |
| Description: |
In NONO-TFE3 tRCC, circMET is up-regulated and promotes tumor cell proliferation and cell-cycle progression. Mechanistically, m6A-modified circMET is exported to the cytoplasm via YTHDC1, directly binds CDKN2A mRNA to recruit YTHDF2 and accelerate CDKN2A mRNA decay, and acts as a ceRNA sponging miR-1197 to upregulate SMAD3. |
