circRNA BBS9 is up-regulated in a CSE-induced COPD cell model and promotes endothelial cell apoptosis. Mechanistically, it sponges miRNA-103a-3p to derepress the downstream target BCL2L13, forming a circRNA BBS9/miRNA-103a-3p/BCL2L13 axis that drives apoptosis.
