Detected method:
Q
Detected method confidence High
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: -
Associated microRNA: hsa-miR-766-3p
Biological function: CircFADS2 overexpression inhibited CSCC cell proliferation, metastasis and glycolysis.
Molecular mechanism: hsa-miR-766-3p was able to directly bind to circFADS2, and circFADS2 played an anti-cancer role in CSCC by downregulating hsa-miR-766-3p. In addition, HOXA9 was a direct target of hsa-miR-766-3p, and hsa-miR-766-3p inhibition suppressed CSCC cell proliferation, metastasis and glycolysis by upregulating HOXA9. Furthermore, circFADS2 acted as a sponge of hsa-miR-766-3p to regulate HOXA9 expression. Besides, circFADS2 suppressed tumor growth in vivo.

Description:

CircFADS2 suppressed CSCC progression by regulating miR-766-3p/HOXA9 axis, which might provide a promising therapeutic target for CSCC.
